I know that this may date me a little, but there have been great Christian bands in the past - The Choir, Common Children, Prayer Chain, and the Seventy Sevens to name some of my favorites from the '90's. I no longer listen to or try to stay on top of Christian music, but I still have and listen to all of my CD's from these bands and other favorites and they are as good or better than anything I ever enjoyed from 'secular' bands of that time. <BR/>I agree that the songs on your list are bad and that CCM is a very poor substitute for music, but let's compare it with what it should be compared to - artists such as Celine Dion!! @&(&#(!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9491813.post-74102107895361675502008-06-16T19:08:00.000-05:002008-06-16T19:08:00.000-05:00May be true for some, but that's usually the case ...May be true for some, but that's usually the case if you've grown up listening to Christian music, which I'm guessing you have. However, Brandon Heath is classified in the same league with the others on that list which I acclaim, so I'm okay with Brandon being on there. :)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02273069625995100964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9491813.post-90944202018124688152008-06-16T11:45:00.000-05:002008-06-16T11:45:00.000-05:00It is very easily identifiable as CCM. I don't know why that is, but if you were to show me this song and give me no info on it, I'd be able to tell you what it is within the first 15 seconds.Calehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14984120879306794047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9491813.post-64257478538082126862008-06-16T08:33:00.000-05:002008-06-16T08:33:00.000-05:00I just have to say one thing. The absolute worst ...I just have to say one thing. The absolute worst song on this playlist is the one by Brandon Heath. That song is awful, I will never understand why it was popular at all. The lyrics are stupid, the music is worse. I think that song is an example of how contemporary Christian music is still just as bad and cheesy today as it ever was.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
